• June 11, 2011 Viking Fun Faire at Trethewey House

  Featuring the Reik Félag Norse Culture Recreation Society. Look for our camp outside the museum. Come and visit the Age of the Vikings and see how the Vikings really lived. Try your hand at spinning with a drop spindle, heft a Viking sword or learn to play Kubb.

• June 18 - 19, 2011 Viking Village at the Midsummer Festival

  Thousands of people visit the Scandinavian Community Centre every year to celebrate the traditions and festivities of Scandinavian Midsummer. One of the highlights of the Scandinavian Midsummer Festival is the authentic Viking Village that is built and inhabited by Réik Félag, a Norse Culture Recreation Society, for the entire two days of the festival.

• August 13-21, 2011 (tentative) Medieval History Encampment

  This is a week-long event which is held over the week including the July 1st Canada Day holiday. A number of historical periods are represented beginning with the Viking Age and progressing through time to the 14th century. Medieval History Encampment is hosted by Pacific Association for Recreating the Middle Ages (PARMA).
