A physical presentation typically centres on a 'camp', with costumed interpreters surrounded by a collection of replica objects consisting of domestic goods, tools, and storage. Out of doors, the site is marked by tents containing beds and a fire pit with cooking equipment. Individuals will be outfitted with the tools of their various trades. All of the objects, from clothing to tents, are based on specific artifact prototypes. Fjellborg VikingsFjellborg Vikings expects members to learn about history by studying the period known as the Viking Age. We attempt to make our reproduction artifacts as close to the originals as modern materials allow. Following an authenticity standard, the same accepted by other Viking age groups in the USA and the UK/Europe creates an atmosphere of knowledgeable learning. At the events we put on, such as demonstrations of camps, period skills, crafts and trades, you may take part in or witness any number of ancient professions being performed by like minded re-enactors. Our mission is to educate the general public on the history and culture of the Viking Age (793-1066 C.E.) through the use of accurate living history portrayals which not only educate but also entertain.
